My name is Nick Sarafoudis and I am a freelance Professional Systems and Network Administrator offering expert IT services to SME’s (Small-Medium Enterprises) here on the Gold Coast.

 

I have over 25 years experience in the IT industry and have expert knowledge of extensive enterprise IT and network systems. I have a degree in IT from Griffith University and over 10 years expert knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop systems at the enterprise level.

 

I have a high level of expertise in Vista, Windows XP, Server2003, SBS 2003, Exchange, Data Recovery, Networking, Domain Admin, DHCP, DNS, Registry, Anti-Virus, Spyware, Firewall, Wireless, Network, DSL/Cable, Cisco and security.

 

I can report, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair (I have my own toolsets as well) a vast number of IT related issues in hardware, software, server and network both on-site and using remote services.

 

I can setup and maintain server/email configurations and migrations at the enterprise level as well as train users on various enterprise software and IT procedures. I also follow ‘best-practices’ guidelines within the IT industry and can offer advice on sound IT policies and how to implement them within the enterprise context.

WHAT SERVICES DO I OFFER?

ALL the following services are included with all contracts (negotiable) and are offered at standard and contract rates (see rate card);

 

  • High level of personalized IT service (telephone, email, SMS notifications and automation)
  • Priority, reliable, quick and friendly responses to IT related tickets and queries
  • Server/Domain/Workstation setup, diagnostics, configuration, maintenance, repair and migration services come standard for all Windows systems and desktops.
  • Exchange/DNS/DHCP Administration with anti-SPAM and security features
  • Active Directory Services Administration (Access, Security, File Shares)
  • Network LAN/WAN/Internet/ADSL Support included. This includes traffic monitoring and router (Cisco or other) configuration and maintenance.
  • 24/7 Security – Spyware, malware, anti-virus removal, report and cleanup within entire network
  • 24/7 Monitoring/Automation and Remote setup and administration enables fast, hands-on approach to configuration, administration and problem solving without the need for onsite visits (in certain circumstances). Remote administration of system-critical servers is advocated as both a cost-saving and security standpoint.
  • Setup and maintain/support a professional IT Helpdesk Ticket and Monitoring system per client (available for free with mid-long term contracts). This empowers your users and management with access to a dedicated Helpdesk system with powerful cutting-edge reporting tools (notifications of software installations, hardware configurations, updates as well as inventory reporting of your entire network and its devices)
  • Implement/administer a comprehensive disaster recover plan including backup maintenance services.
  • Flexible Work Hours. I am available after hours and weekends if need be with a high degree of reliability.
  • Where possible ‘open-source’ solutions will be offered over commercial products if applicable (cost-saving).
  • All work is documented. Weekly reports of works are published to nominated email accounts.

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

 

  • My services are limited to a few clients/businesses at any one time (depending on the contract).This enables me to offer my services to a high standard without compromising the level of service my clients expect.
  • I offer my services on a sub-contractual basis on 1, 2, 3, 6-12 month contracts on three levels (see table below).

 

Typical Support Scenarios (1 site) - all flexible (GST is inclusive)

o        Level 1  5 to 20 Users     5 Hours Support + 1 onsite visit pw=$220 pw

o        Level 2  20 to 50 Users   10 Hours Support + 2 onsite visits pw=$440 pw

o        Level 3  50 to 100 Users 20 Hours Support + 5 onsite visits pw=$880 pw

Additional hours and or site visits can be added per week and the arrangement can be flexible

 

For example;

I can work 5 hours on one site visit or 2 hours onsite and 3 hours remote (for different days).  This can be flexible (An alternative would be; 3 hours x 3 visits pw = 9 Hours = $396pw contract) and can be negotiated.

 

Also at times your business might need extra hours during after hours/weekends to install new server/software and perform critical repairs and maintenance while minimizing the impact and downtime if the work occurred during business hours. This flexibility is available when on contract as a priority.

 

Please note; all contracts can be re-negotiated at anytime (for more or less hours/visits) and there are no termination fees or penalties, so you are not tied into any terms or periods. It is an open-ended contract for my services and is based on goodwill and honest values.

 

In summary, for as little as $220 per week outlay, gives you 5+ hours use of a professional systems and network administrator with documented ‘hands-on’ and reliable work that will make your business more productive. I can and will save you money as well as make your IT infrastructure as efficient as possible with minimal downtime. This is why I offer my services in this way.
